Summer Fayre
Well… what an evening! Thank you so much to everyone involved for working so hard to bring our community together - our amazing school association work tirelessly to ensure these events happen and this one has been a super success! Thank you also to the staff and parents that manned stalls and to Mr Russell for all he gives to our school community - nothing is ever too much trouble for him. Special mentions too for Mrs Hill and her amazing gymnasts; Mrs Townend and her small, but perfectly formed choir; and to all the children who contributed to our bake off! The chair of our AGC was impressed by all of them.
I’d like to extend a very special thank you to Shelley Natt, who has basically had a second job for the last couple of weeks ensuring this went without a hitch.
Bringing things back to school, I’d really like to also say what amazing job our Y6 children have done this week. They’ve had a super busy week too with their SATs and I couldn’t be prouder. They’ve approached all of the tests with calmness and they looked comfortable throughout. All the formalities of the testing procedures are not easy and this cohort have not been phased at all. I hope the Spring Fayre has provided them with a wonderful celebratory finale.
I also loved getting soaked. 😉
Happy weekend to our whole community and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday for the final week of a short but impressive term.
