Curriculum
Our curriculum provides plenty of opportunities for us to explore God’s creation, find joy through the love of learning and engage with our spiritual selves, both teachers and pupils. In the design of our curriculum we have thought carefully about how we can provide opportunities for all of our children to have equitable access and enabling equity is an important part of our ambition to achieve justice for all of our children, even those who might be otherwise marginalised. Thinking about the cultural opportunities we offer, we have also given consideration to how we can support our children to enjoy the depth of spiritualism within their learning. When planning curriculum opportunities we recognise that some children will engage spiritually in a range of ways so therefore we have made explicit how we might consider this when planning across the curriculum.
We also look for opportunities to bring the teachings of the bible to life - in learning how to live out biblical concepts.
This might be achieved through our leaning in PSHE or geography, or by work done in Science. Our school is set in beautiful grounds and we take great inspiration from this - recognising the preciousness of God’s creation. We care for our school and for each other and we approach our curriculum with courage and perseverance.
