Achievements this year

Sporting achievements are always celebrated during family assembly and we are all very proud of what our children achieve in and outside of school.

We have been able to celebrate a number of successful sporting moments this year already.

Our mixed football team is currently unbeaten in the league. Our girls team experienced their first matches in a new league at Myton School on their Astro pitches, showing great progress with each match played.

Our netball team are on track to have a successful year winning their first match.

We have had many children competing in cross country events and achieving personal bests. Three of our pupils were placed in the top 5 at the recent races held at Kingsley, which is a real achievement.

Our Y6 Indoor Rowing teams competed at Campion School, with our mixed Competition4U team doing so well, that they qualified to the county finals. The team of 4 represented Central Warwickshire at Solihull Leisure Centre against 13 other teams. One of our pupils came a very impressive 4th out of 52 competitors!

We have also taken some Year 5 and Year 6 pupils to the Sport Hall Athletics – it was a great event and our children did themselves and us proud coming a very respectful 5th out of 18 teams.

We have participated in the whole school YouSkip challenge, and have won the engagement prize of having Dan the Skipping man to come in to do a Workshop Skipping Day.

We are currently through to round 3 of the whole school Virtual Fits-A-Knockout. Nearly every child has participated in various skills and activities during lunchtimes, trying to improve on their personal best. After submitting our final set of results, we are now eagerly awaiting to see if we make it to the finals! **Update** We have won the KS2 competition and have come 2nd in the EYES & KS1.

Festivals are a fantastic way of introducing pupils to new sports and they are a fabulous way of seeing the children make swift progress. So far this year we have attended a Hockey, Netball, Football, Dodgeball and Well-Being Festival. We are scheduled to also participate in Tennis, Archery and Cricket.

Well done to everyone for their participation and personal successes.
