Vision, Values and Ethos
Our Church Links
As a Church of England Academy, we have very close connections with Holy Trinity Church in Long Itchington. We also have close links with St Esprit Church in Marton.
Our Christian Vision
'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart" (Colossians 3:23)
We aim to do this in our school, our Multi Academy Trust, our homes and our community whilst following the teachings of Jesus.
Our Children's Aims Statement
'We live, we laugh, we learn together'
Living in God's love
Laughing in the joy of Christ's risen life
Learning as we walk together in faith
Our Christian Values
Our Christian Values are at the centre of everything we do at Long Itchington C of E Academy. They help us live out the Christian Vision of the Multi Academy Trust of 'pursuing life in all its fullness.' (John 10:10) and to achieve our school vision.
We have identified a number of core values that are especially relevant to our context. These are forgiveness, service, compassion, courage, justice and perseverance.
As well as our core values we also spend time in school with opportunities to reflect on a broader range of values and developing an understanding of the value in action. Each Monday, in our Celebration Worship, we acknowledge children who have demonstrated these values.
Our visitors from Holy Trinity Church and the Open the Book Team as well as from St Esprit Church in Marton regularly lead our worship to help us to reinforce our understanding of each value as they share stories from the Bible.
- Friendship
- Respect
- Thankfulness
- Trust
- Truthfulness
- Generosity
We believe these values are empowering our pupils to develop their spirituality and guiding them in personal development as effective learners and good citizens to 'work with all their heart'.
