Library Competition win
As part of our personal development offer, three of our Year 4 pupils had the fantastic opportunity to compete in the Warwickshire School Library Service Reading Celebration this morning at Kenilworth Library. Adepitan class have been reviewing a variety of books, including those they have borrowed from our local libraries, in reading logs over the past few months and we have been thinking about the importance of reading for pleasure.
The children created their own big book of reviews featuring some popular reads from the class, a bank of 'Library Top Tips' and a poem about the importance of the library. The children who represented us at Kenilworth library put in brilliant effort to showcase our big book of reviews and they even took part in a quiz about different books and won! They were very committed to representing our school well and showing how much we love reading at Long Itchington!
Well done year 4 for taking part and winning the trophy! A big thank you to Mrs Hill for supporting them at the event!πππ
