Cross Country
Yesterday, after school , 37 of our KS2 children competed in the Woodford Halse Primary School Cross Country. Approximately 700 children participated and all 37 of our runners completed the 1.3km course, in the sweltering heat ๐ฅต.
As expected, all of our children put their absolute best efforts in and we came away with some amazing results.
Well done to Y3 Arlo for coming 3rd ๐ฅand the Year3 boys team getting overall 3rd๐ฅEllie just missing out on the top 10 but Y3 girls team getting the overall 2nd๐ฅ, a fantastic turnout and effort by the Y4 boys with Leo being the first of the team to finish.
Annabelle in Y5 surprised herself by blasting it into 2nd place ๐ฅand the mighty Y5 girls team gained the overall 2nd place๐ฅ .
Arthur in Y5 had a battle on with the top 3 runners but got his place on the podium for a 2nd year ! but this year took the title pushing himself to the max to take the win.๐ฅ
Sadly, this was a final primary run for our year 6 but they all came away with fabulous results. Both the first 3 girls and boys from each team came top 30! We were hoping for more team places but the competition was tough.
All of the runners should be super proud of their performances, both myself and Mr Purewal were elated and came away buzzing with the results. ๐๐ฝโ๏ธ๐๐ผโ๏ธ๐ช๐๐๐
Thank you so much to all the parents and spectators who came along, braved the heat and provided much needed support and encouragement. ๐
