At Long Itchington CE Academy we have an active school council who have an opportunity to take a lead in the life of our school. Two council representatives are elected form each class at the beginning of the school year and they meet with Mrs Townend every two weeks. They make decisions on fundraising for charity and other similar initiatives. School council have also been involved in consulting around school dinners which led to a change in the menus we offered the pupils. They have also purchased musical instruments for the school and have opportunities to discuss a range of issues that affect our school. Recently they have been considering ways to improve children's experiences during lunchtime. After each meeting they feed back to their class on the work they are doing.
