At Long Itchington C of E Academy we have an active school council with children in Woodpecker Class making decisions on fundraising for charity and other similar initiatives.  Woodpecker Class have been very busy planning and organising events:

"In November we donned our pyjamas to raise money for Children in Need, raising an impressive,  £167. At Christmas we donated a huge delivery of Christmas presents to the Macgregor Ward at Warwick hospital, thanks to the generosity of our amazing families during our present appeal.  In February we transformed ourselves into rockstars becoming our TTRS avatars, raising £153 for NSPCC. We went red for Red Nose Day in March and raised money for Comic Relief.  

We also have plans to help Trussell Trust foodbanks who administer a UK-wide network of food banks including Southam. We would also like to hold an event to raise money to buy school resources - watch this space!"
